#88 Chevron lace nailart ~ First Moyou London stamping experience

About two months ago I posted a picture on my Instagram asking for some help about getting some stamping platen from Moyou London. The responses I got were all (really) positive and I decided to order some (read 10) plates...
A few days later I got my package in the mail! I was so happy that everything got delivered oke after some flaws with ordering and I could not wait to play with the plates!

The plates I ordered are

Explorer collection plates 03 and 22
Kitty collection plates 01 and 12
Bridal collection plates 06 and 07
Pro collection plate 08
Tropical collection plate 02
Fashionista collection plate 08
Artist collection plate 17

The first thing that draws my attention when I was opening the package, are the little paper sleeves where the stamping plates are in. These are so cute and beautiful designed. And with these paper sleeves I can keep my plates clean and organized! (just the way I like it!)

The plates are protected with a blue sticker when you first get them out of the paper sleeve, and if you never pulled of this blue sticker off of the plate you have to trust me on this one: When you pull back the sticker and reveal the stamping images, this is the most gratifying thing ever!

The only thing I didn't research enough before buying the plates is that I didn't take into account that the 'normal' stamping plates images are too small to fit onto my whole nail. I did order some XL plates too and those are just fine!

After buying the plates I was abnormally anxious to try out the plates! And never had the time! Until today! (Yes, these plates have been lying around for two months before I had the time to try them!)  Yesterday evening I was playing around with my striper polishes, trying out some stuff and suddenly I got an idea in my head: What if I use the bride plate and the black striper to make an awesome chevron lace nail art?! So I wrote the idea down onto a small piece of paper. If I don't I forget it or I will never stop thinking about how to improve it and that's bad if you want to go to sleep ;).

The next day I had time to do my nails and I FINALLY made a nail art with one of the plates!

Don't you love that feeling when you have an idea in your head, and when you make it on your nails it turns out even better! The idea was to stamp on the lace pattern and add a chevron french tip. But I am so glad that I added the gold nailpolish underneath and add the gold glitter at the chevron edge! I think this nailart is perfect for christmas, especially when you are going to wear an elegant black dress.

I did watch some reviews on the plates and I knew I had to buff the stamper and use a light pressure to pick up and apply the image. So that went pretty good, only to be ruined when I applied the topcoat...

The gold base is 'name' by Sally Hansen, the black I used to stamp is from Maybelline and is called 'Black is black' and I used a striper by Magnetic to create the chevron and filled that in with the black is black. The gold at the end is also a striper by Magnetic.

Happy Holidays!
