Catrice's new brushes!

I recently bought two new colours by Catrice. I was in a drugstore with my mom and was not actually there to buy any nailpolish (We all know how that goes!) But two things caught my eye on the Catrice shelf: 1. The new colours are beautiful and 2. THEY FINALLY HAVE NEW BRUSHES!!!

So.. you know.. I had to buy some nailpolishes! Catrice is one of my favorite brands to use but I never liked the crooked brush. It's not like you can't apply the polish onto your nails, but getting close to the cuticle and make a clean line was kind of difficult for me to achieve.

In the past Catrice already made a slight change to their brushes, but I kinda felt like they did that for only two colours and after returned to using their old crooked brushes. Knowing this, I was already a bit like new brush? yeah whatever.. But I liked the colours so much and like I mentioned I like the Catrice nailpolishes (formula and colours) so I could not leave the store without two new nailpolishes!

Today I wanted to share the HUGE difference between the old and the new brushes.

This is a bottle with an old brush. As you can see the edge is not a smooth arch, the hairs in the middle are longer than the sides and even the sides are different lengths. The brush almost looks like someone randomly cut out pieces with scissors. This made it difficult to get close to the cuticle, because you almost always missed a spot, or you would flood the cuticles with nailpolish because the hairs in the middle were too long in proportion to the hairs on the sides. Not very practical at all!

Also there were some single hairs on all the areas of the brush which are even longer than the others, as you can see on the picture below.

overall the brushes were unevenly cut and unpractical, but now let's take a look at the new brushes...

Just look at the gradual arch the brush has now.. And how even the brush is cut. The problem I had around my cuticle is fixed now! Now I can get a nice sharp line close to my cuticle without flooding them!

There are still some single hairs that are a bit longer and sticking out above the rest. But a lot less than with the older brushes.

I am really glad that Catrice decided to change the brushes again, I hope they will keep using the new brushes and never go back to those uneven cutted ones!
