#98 Free Hand Half Moon

It's friday and that means a new tutorial! Today I wanted to share another basic nailart technique. This time the classic and beautiful half moon.

Personally I don't like using tip guides, I always think that the sticker is applied correctly but somehow I always manage to get nailpolish underneath the corners. and I also find that the arch of the guides is too flat, I find it more beautiful when the arch is a bit more curved.

When your lunula is visible on all your nails, you can easily follow that curve to create the half moon. If you're not completely sure what I'm talking about, the lunula is the lighter coloured skin close to the cuticle in the shape of (take a guess) a half moon.

If you can't see a lunula on your nails, don't worry! The lunula is not as visible for everybody. This does not mean that there is anything wrong with your nails!

The gorgeous bright red is by Catrice and is called Alluring Red. The angular brush I used I got online on prettypolish.nl in a set of 20 brushes.
