So I though I would help the people out who are just getting into nailart, and who like me didn't start out with all the brushes and dottingtools they want.
These three nailarts only need the nailpolish brush! I tried to give the nailarts a star rating in difficulty, starting with the dry brush/distressed technique
The dry brush or also called the distressed technique is very easy to do, you can use as many or as few colours as you'd like.
You paint your nails in a single base colour as usual, I used Snow me white by Sinfulcolors. To create the effect, you swipe the brush of the next colour as clean as possible, it should look like the brush has no polish on it.
With light pressure, swipe the brush over the nails. In only horizontal swipes or vertical. You can also use both directions.
I used Neon fest and Sweet retreat from Rimmel London and #54 from Hema.
Next I did a ruffian. You can do this with a tip guide but it's also possible to do with only the nailpolish brush.
I started with a glitter base, two coats of #91 Blue Circus from hema. I think using a glitter base for simple nailart gives the look a -litreally- touch of bling. After the glitter base dried, I used #81 from Hema to apply on top, follow the shape of your cuticle, but keep a space between the cuticle and the polish. Tadaa you have a ruffian!
I don't think this is really a double ruffian, but I could not think of a other name! So double ruffian it is! I love this look!
The base is Snow me white from Sinfulcolors. For this design you do the same as you'd do for the ruffian, but leave a space at the side of the nails too.
Repeat this with another colour, leaving a space at the side of the previous colour. I used Go into the light from OPI and Black out from Rimmel London.
