NYC Peel off base coat ~ My Review

Something different that you'll see on my blog, and you've probably seen a lot of reviews on this peel off base coat already, but I also wanted to share my experience with the NYC peel off base coat!

I've been looking for a peel off base coat for soooo long now and could not find one anywhere! I've also searched online to make my own peel off base coat, but I could not find the glue that is used for that in any store where I live...

Finally! A drugstore in my town got the NYC Peel Off Base Coat, and for only 2,99(euros)    I've waited so long for the store to finally get them, I almost ordered the OPI Peel Off, and that would've cost around 15 euros.. So now I can buy more nail polishes with the money I saved! ;)

When you first apply the base coat, it's a little bit thicker than normal polish and it looks white, and when it's dry it's transparant, but it does take a absurd long time to get completely dry.

I've noticed that on every nail, one little spot takes even longer to dry and most of the time never turns transparent. Even after letting the basecoat dry for almost 20 minutes, the little white spot still did not turn transparent.

After the base has dried, I applied a base colour first and after that two coats of a glitter polish. I first picked Sally Hansens 'Tight Knit', which is a blue white stripe glitter polish. For the base colour I used 'Team Blue' by Catrice

I wore this for one and a half day, and the nails didn't peel off by themself, I was afraid that the polish would start to peel of at the tips, but it didn't! I did have a slight smudge on my tumb and decided to peel the polish off of my nail, which was pretty fast and easy to do.

So the next day when I wanted to peel this off, it was actually a tad bit difficult to find a place to start peeling! There were no little pieces of polish that were letting go. But when I did find a start, the peeling off was very easy and quick. I could not peel the whole nailpolish off in one go, but in little chunks, but however, no glitters were left on the nail!

I did have some little lines of base colour on the edges of my nails but those were easily to remover with polish remover.

Next day I tried some smaller glitter on one nail 'Disco Ball' by NYC and as a base I used 'Metalfusion' by Catrice. And the results were the same, easy to remove and no glitters left on the nails

Pros <> cons
+ no peeling of before removing,

+ easy to remove

- drying takes forever!

Do you own the NYC peel off base coat? What are your thought about it?

Have fun painting and creating
