#124 GlamNailsChallenge June: Sunflowers

A challenge? I haven't done one in FOREVER! Let's change that today!
And let's kick this challenge month of with trying out a new technique! I've seen mani nail arts on Instagram using the water colour technique and when I was thinking about the first challenge and how I should do the nailart for the sunflower prompt, I figuered this was a great time to try this technique out for myself!
How I understand this technique is that you use very very very diluted acrylic paint and with this you paint a desing on your nails: flower petals, leaves, bubbles etc. and after a few second (with a clean brush) you remove the excess of the acrylic paint, waiting a few seconds gives the paint enough time to dry on the outside area but not on the inside. When you remove the not dry paint, you leave a rim of colour and a lighter tint of colour in the middle.

The effect shows the best on my index finger, and this was so difficult to capture correct on photo! I think the effect would've shown better if I had used different tints of yellow. Lesson learned!

The only nailpolish I used for this look is the white base sinfulcolors' Snow me white. The sunflower is completely done with acrylic paints.
