#121 Simple flowers
It's fascinating how times can change, the past weeks I had all the free time of the world. And now, ZERO free time...

#50 May Nail Art Challenge: Flowers

The first challenge for the Nail Art Challenge by Californails is May Flowers.
For this nail art I used three green polishes: 'I'm Not A Greenager' 'Miss Piggy's BF' and 'Take It Mint' all by Catrice
For the flowers I used white, black and purple acrylic paint. I used the black and white to darken and lighten the purple.
I had the time to film and make a tutorial for this nail art. If you want to look and see how I created this look, you can click right here.
Side note: The purple I used I never used before and turned out the acrylic paint really sucked! So the end result isn't what I had imagined. But I still like it.

Have fun painting and creating

March Nail Art Challenge #4 Neons
I think I have someting against monthly challenges, because I had absolutely no idea what to do for this one (again!) I think it has something to do with the fact that you have to make a specific design on a specific day. I think it kinda holds me back in my creativity? I really don't know!
Anyway... for the fourth challenge you had to use neon colours, and I'm SO stoked about neon colours, I love the way they pop on your nails, they're so 'in your face' and I like when your nails do that. You just can not miss these nails!
Next up: Flakes!

#40 Water Marble March #1 ~ Two Colour Flowers ~
The first Water marble nail art for water marble march! It has been a while since I did a water marble nail art so I had to redo some of the nails because I didn't liked the outcome to much.. Maybe water marble isn't the best thing for a über perfectionist like myself ;) But I like water marbleing to much!
I challenge you to join me in the Water Marble March 'challenge'. It's not really a challenge but I don't know how to call it otherwise ;)
If you make a water marble nail art this month I want to see it! Tag #dutchnailss on Instagram, or post it on my facebook page. I'm really curious about your creations!

#38 Thermal flower Nail Art
First of all, you might have noticed when you've watched the tutorial that I changed some things in the video. I'm trying out some things and I hope you don't hate it too much ;)
Today I made a random flower nail art with a thermal polish base. I liked the idea of the thermal polish changing the whole look of the mani with just having warm or cold hands.
This is how the mani looks like when cold..

This is how the mani looks like when cold..

And a lovely pink when warm :)
And the transition between warm and cold. The mani look different every time! :D
For the flowers I used a white, yellow and blue acrylic paint. And for the base colour I used the Essence Superheroes 'Fantastic Girl' polish.
I made a tutorial for this manicure. If you want to see exactly how I did this you can click right here and you'll go to my youtube channel.
If you feel inspired by this look and recreate it, I would love to see what you did! If you have instagram, just use the hashtag #dutchnailss and I will see your design! :D

When I don't feel like doing my own nails...
...I just continue on some nail art tips! ;) Some things I want to try out on tips before I paint it on my own nails. Just to practice or just to see if the idea I have looks nice or not.
And this kind of flowers I wanted to create a long time. So I've been fiddling around with these flowers today and ended up with these two I really like!
Chances are that you'll see a nail art on my own nails with these kind of flowers very soon! ;)
